How it goes

What happens after a charge

  1. 01

Step 1: You call us with the citation

The date, the court and the charge are printed on it.

  2. 02

Step 2: We get the paperwork

The citation, the police report and any video the prosecutor has.

  3. 03

Step 3: We talk about your choices

What a plea would mean, what a trial would mean, and what we'd recommend.

  4. 04

Step 4: We go to court with you

You're never in front of the judge without us.

Questions about charges and tickets

Should I just pay the ticket?

Paying is pleading guilty. For some tickets that's fine. For a commercial driver, or someone with points already, it may not be.

Can I clear my record?

Many old charges and some convictions can be cleared after a waiting period. Bring what you have and we'll check.

What should I say to the police?

Be polite, give your name, and say you want to talk to a lawyer before answering questions.
